Passionate in the Sustainability And Care Of
Traditional, Heritage and Listed Buildings

Lincolnshire Restoration Services is a family-owned business born from our own need for clear, fact-based guidance during the restoration of our listed barn conversion. We wanted to use traditional materials, create an energy-efficient home, and still preserve the character that captured our hearts from the beginning.

As Part L requirements tighten and the demand for improved energy performance grows, without readily available sound knowledge of traditional systems we found ourselves being pushed toward modern solutions that didn't feel appropriate for our building. That experience shaped our belief that, with the right approach, traditional homes can achieve sustainable, energy-efficient and high-performing upgrades without compromising their character.

By understanding how our buildings were originally designed and constructed, and by applying the correct interventions, we can support homes that perform exceptionally well while maintaining the heritage qualities that make them special. Lincolnshire Restoration Services now supports homeowners, contractors, businesses, and landlords with clear, fact-based restoration and energy-performance guidance, alongside the careful selection of traditional building services. Everything we do is designed for traditional and historic buildings — sensitive, compliant, and built to last.

Our Ethos

Preservation Over Replacement

Preservation Over Replacement

We retain original stone, brick and timber wherever it can be sensibly saved. Replacement is a last resort, not a first response.

Compatible Materials

Compatible Materials

Lime, natural aggregates and traditional detailing are chosen to work with the way a historic building moves, breathes and weathers.

Long Term Performance

Long Term Performance

Our aim is repairs that still look and behave correctly decades from now — not quick cosmetic fixes that trap moisture behind them.

How we work

Our Approach

We don't have a fixed script. Each building is looked at on its own terms — how it was built, what has already been done to it, and what it actually needs. From that, we agree a clear, sensible plan of work before anything else happens.

Building Led Assessment

Every job begins on site, looking at the actual materials, past repairs and how the building behaves — not from a standard template.

02

Appropriate Techniques

We choose methods that suit that particular wall, mortar and stone rather than applying a one-size solution across the board.

03

Specialist Heritage Equipment

Where cleaning or paint removal is needed we use heritage-approved systems that are controlled, gentle and repeatable.

04

Measured Intervention

We only do work that has a clear reason and a clear benefit to the building. If something doesn't need touching, we leave it alone.
